Long overdue update
Sorry to all who keep coming back to check out the progress....We have had our fences completed in the last couple of weeks, Jason from J & B Fencing has done a excellent job. As the photo shows the driveway is all ready to be poured. It was completed on Friday, Tony who also did the house slab did a top job, more photos will follow, its good to see that some tradesmen are still perfectionist....
On the inside we have finished all the painting, the kitchen vanities and laundry are all completed. However we are waiting on the tiler to complete the job prior to a couple of plumbing items and carpet.

Afternoon Photo
Yesterday the builders as back doing the internal mould out, doors and cupboards, skirting and the like. The other major job done today was the solar panels, coupled with the double glazed windows and full insulation the house should be energy efficient....Thanks heaps to Newcastle Solar for a very speedy and efficient install. Our system was connected to the grid on the 16th....Shame our Government wants to reduce our rebates, we are after all only trying to be more energy efficient.
Internal Finish
OK, Once again it has been a while since my last post....As you can see the painter has completed the textured finish on the brick work, the timber panelling and the door have been primed. On the inside the gyprockers have been very busy for a couple of weeks and have sheeted and finished the job on the 4th. The internal photo shows the kitchen area with the coffered ceiling, the pantry on the right and the fridge space on the left.

No Scaffolding.....
It has been a while since my last post, we have been busy with the internal rough-out. The plumbing, electrical and air-con are all done. Last weekend we insulated the walls and ran all the cables for the theatre and house speakers. The painter has started with the rockcote finish and hopes to be completed by weeks end. Today the gyprock arrived and the installers will start on Thursday and have plans to work over the weekend to get it done. The front photo shows the sealer white finish and the back view shows the completed colour.

Scaffolding Removed
Well it has been a very wet week, with consistent showers most days and today rain fell mostly all day until when I took this photo. The painter has been able to get some work done around the eaves and windows with the rockcoat finish and sealing, now with the scaffolding removed they should have a free run to roll a bit on Friday, fingers crossed for fine weather....
While this has been happening our plumber has been busy roughing in the water supply and will start the drainage on Friday. Our Electrician hopefully will be starting on Friday which will enable us to start installing insulation over the weekend.

Another Weekend....
Well, we had a dry weekend and have completed the gutter guard and roof ventilator. The scaffolding is scheduled to be removed this week so it was a rush to get it all done. The painters have started and have the eaves all but done including the alfresco area. Hopefully this week will see some textured finish on the brickwork. A weekend visit was also made by both our plumber and sparky, ready for a rough in this week but we also received a lovely surprise visit from Herb and Beth with lunch included which made our day. Sunday was spent clearing the site and running cat 5 cable for our network/phone and alarm.

Wall Panelling Commencing....

Roof almost complete...
Hi all, another weekend has past and we spent both days over at the house, we have made some minor changes to a wall in the kitchen to allow for a larger fridge, also cleaned the inside. Most of Saturday was spent installing gutter mesh, not a very exciting job, but one best done whilst the scaffolding is in place. On Friday the Roof Installers must have been busy before the rain as they have all the roof sheets on and most of the ridge capping. The carpenters are due back on Monday to start on the hardy panelling, will keep you posted.

The roofing has started.....
Hi to all my followers. The roof is almost complete, the gutter's are done and the brick work is finished. This shot is taken from the back of the house looking towards the Alfresco Deck. Would be nice if all that dirt was gone....This weekends work involves roof ventilators and gutter guard, hope the weather holds out.

Scaffolding In Place
Friday last week the scaffolding was erected to allow the brickies to work on the upper level. The front is almost finished and the back alfresco wall has been completed. If the fine weather holds out I think they may be finished by the weekend. The second photo is taken from the dining family area looking out the rear door to the alfresco area showing the completed wall.

Frames and Trusses
After returning from our Honeymoon, the boys have been very busy. The flooring upstairs is all done, the frames and some trusses are in place, the rear deck area has the bearers and piers in place. The downstairs windows are in with the upstairs ones ready, (although we are getting the lower floor ones moved 300mm lower) The bricks, sand and cement has all arrived. The front deck floor was being done as we left. Another visit on Saturday and we will post some more photos.

Downstairs frames done...

The frames have arrived....
After a cruise past the block on Friday I discovered the frames and trusses were delivered. A phone call from our building supervisor soon after revealed that the boys will be on-site Monday morning to start erecting the frames. I will update the photos as we progress. Slowly getting rid of about 200 tonnes of soil, next week it will be all gone. Our sparky should have the power connected early next week......
